I can not agree more. At http://bigwhitewall.com we see a large number of teens and young adults expressing their concerns or frustrations about their relationship with their parents or parent. In some circumstances the relationship is so poor that the teen is considering something quite serious. Have a look at this brick http://www.bigwhitewall.com/walls/brick/2187/

Most importantly, parents need to remember that they are the grown ups - long after the child has 'grown up'. If there is an olive branch to be held out, more often than not, it should be up to the parents to do so.

Absolutely! Granted, some students are more amenable than others, but we've found that the vast majority of students we work with in our center are willing to participate in brief breathing and meditative exercises. Our hope is that the work we do with students in our center, even if only for a few minutes during each session, will become the building block for more extensive and more regular mindful practices.

We are also really excited about all the media attention meditation has been receiving lately; hopefully, continued discussion/education about the benefits of meditation and breathing exercises will further enhance the likelihood of students engaging in these practices. Thank you for your thoughtful question!

Most students do experience stress, so meditative exercises and breathing sound like a good idea...but can you really encourage high school students to implement practices like these???

The College Board website can provide information about test centers overseas....visit the following website page, provide your country and they will provide information about potential test centers.

http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_code/codeSearchSatTest.jsp

And here is a book that the College Board publishes for students outside of the US:

Cool Blog! I just took the SAT recently. It is really important to prep yourself for the sat properly or you wont score as high as you want to. Good luck on your tests all!
